Creating Space for Olana Light

We’ve followed Olana Light’s work for several years, so when we spotted her upcoming exhibition in Portsmouth, we were excited to see what was coming next. An award-winning multidisciplinary artist, Olana brings people and nature together through wearable sculpture, performance, installation, photography and film — exploring themes of belonging, transformation and our relationship with the natural world. Naturally, we took a look at her website. Having previously used Wix and Squarespace, neither quite captured the scale, energy and diversity of her work. With the exhibition fast approaching, we saw an opportunity to change that.

We created and launched a new website — in record time. Built around Olana’s work, the new site puts her sculpture, performance, installation, photography and film front and centre, making it easier to discover, explore and experience her practice online. But we wanted to do more than showcase the work. We wanted to create opportunities for what comes next. So we introduced Work Together — a clear route for commissions, exhibitions, performances, collaborations, community projects and more.

A platform that supports her exhibitions, celebrates her practice and makes it easier for galleries, curators, organisations and collaborators to get involved. Not just a website. A space for amazing work — and whatever comes next.
